SSC supported the THEOS-2 launch – SatNews

SSC is supporting the launch of Thailand’s high-resolution EO optical satellite — THEOS-2. The mission is designed to deliver ground-breaking imagery with a 0.50 meter ground resolution. The satellite was built by Airbus Defence and Space for a nominal service life of at least 10 years.

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. Has received more than $10 million in orders for transceivers to power the IFC (In-Flight Connectivity) applications of a Tier-1 global aerospace system Integrator. Gilat’s fully-owned, U.S.-based subsidiary, Wavestream, will provide its Ka-band AeroStream™ family of transceiver products.

Twenty years after first crewed mission, China looks to lofty goals

The Tiangong Space Station has been operational since October 16. It is the first permanent Chinese space station. The station was built as part of China’s Project 921 plan. The plan was to build up human space capabilities and establish a true space station. The flight of Yang Liwei was seen as completing the first stage of Project 921.
