Rocket Lab Corporation (Nasdaq: RKLB) today successfully launched its 15th mission of the year. The “Owl New World’ mission launched on Electron from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand at 16:33 UTC on October 14. The mission was the first of a series of 21 dedicated Electron launches to take place between now and the end of the decade for Synspective, a leading Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite data and analytics company.

Square Peg Communications has announced a distribution agreement with Artiza Networks. Artiza will expand the reach and availability of the Square Peg RLS-2100 Radio Link Simulator into the Japanese market. Starting immediately, Japanese satellite communications operators, manufacturers, integrators and chipset developers will be able to validate and emulate satellite communication environments in a laboratory setting.

SpaceX is targeting Wednesday, October 15 at 4:03 p.m. PT for a Falcon 9 launch of the Space Development Agency’s (SDA) Tranche 1 data transport mission to low-Earth orbit. The forecast calls for a temperature of 60°F, clear skies, 0% cloud cover and a wind speed of 14mph. A live webcast of this mission will begin about 10 minutes prior to liftoff.

AST SpaceMobile’s BlueBird satellites the first of its second-generation is enroute to the India Space Organisation’s Sriharikota/Satis Dhawan facility. The launch has been bumped around, originally planned for August 2025, then delayed to November 2025. Currently the new launch date is likely towards December possibly by Q1 2026. AST is aiming to have between 45 and 60 satellites in orbit by the end of 2026 and to start services over North America, Japan and Europe during 2026.
