Launch of Amazon’s KF-03 mission by SpaceX on Thursday may encounter weather issues – SatNews

SpaceX is targeting Thursday, October 9 for a Falcon 9 launch of the KF-03 mission to orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. A live webcast of this mission will begin about 15 minutes prior to liftoff, which you can watch on X @SpaceX. If needed, a backup launch opportunity is available on Friday, October 10 starting at 9:12 p.m. ET. There’s a 55% chance of favorable weather conditions at the time of the launch.

TESAT has delivered the first SCOT20 Optical Communication Terminal (OCT) to Planetek Hellas. This terminal will be deployed on Optisat, Planetek Hellas’ pioneering mission under Greece’s National Satellite Space Program. Verizon Communications is negotiating to buy wireless spectrum from EchoStar. If the deal goes through, Verizon would join AT&T and SpaceX as recent buyers of EchoStar’s wireless spectrum licences. In September, EchoStar said it expects to hold $24.1 billion in cash after using spectrum sale proceeds to repay debt.
