Gilmour Space Technologies has completed the maiden test launch of Australia’s first locally designed and built orbital rocket. The 23-meter, 30-tonne Eris rocket, powered by new hybrid propulsion technology, successfully lifted off from the Bowen Orbital Spaceport in North Queensland, achieving approximately 14 seconds of flight. The TestFlight 1 campaign was the first integrated attempt of an orbital-class rocket designed and built entirely in Australia.

SpaceX launched its next Starlink Group 10-29 of 28 V2 Mini satellites on a Falcon 9 rocket launch from Space Launch Complex 40, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, in Florida shortly before midnight on Tuesday. This is the 26th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched CRS-24, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13F, OneWeb 1, SES-18 and SES-19, and 21 Starlink mission.

NSF cameras spotted three damaged Raptor engines at SpaceX’s McGregor test site in Texas. They could be from either the aft of recently recovered Booster 13, or the debris of Ship 36, which blew up during testing at Masseys. McGregor is the beating heart of the company’s engine testing program.
