Sentinel-1D + Ariane 6 ready for liftoff – SatNews

ESA’s Sentinel-1D satellite is in on its launch pad at Europe’s spaceport in French Guiana. The broadcast of the launch can be watched on ESA Web TV, starting at 21:15 CET, Tuesday, November 4th, with liftoff expected to occur 22:02 CET.

The ViaSat-3 Flight 2 ultra-high-capacity broadband satellite is one of the heaviest single-satellite payloads. The mission is planned to lift off on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The launch is planned for 10:24 p.m. EST with a 44-minute window. Today’s forecast shows a 95 percent chance of favorable weather conditions for launch.

Rocket Lab launches QPS-SAR-14, nicknamed YACHIHOKO-I for the Japanese god of nation-building, to a 575km circular Earth orbit. The mission will be Electron’s 74th launch to date and 16th mission this year. IQPS aims to build a constellation of 36 SAR satellites that will provide near-real-time images of Earth every 10 minutes.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 is targeting the launch of 29 Starlink smallsats to low-Earth orbit. This will be the fifth flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission. The first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

Vast completes Haven-1 structural testing, launches pathfinder mission

Vast is a space station company founded in 2021 by Jed McCaleb. It launched its pathfinder, Haven Demo, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 Bandwagon-4 mission on Sunday. Vast’s first station, Haven-1, is due to launch NET May 2026, also aboard a Falcon 9. With its solar array now deployed, the pathfinder will begin gathering crucial data for the station.
