The eighth flight test of Starship is preparing to launch as soon as Friday, February 28, pending regulatory approval. A live webcast of the flight test will begin about 40 minutes before liftoff, which you can watch on X @SpaceX. The launch window will open at 5:30 p.m. CT.

Global Konet has been contracted to improve the mobile satellite vehicles of the Korea Marine navy. The Marine Navy’s existing satellite system on the tactical trucks used a 2.4 meter, dish, X-band antenna for tactical containers in operational areas. The transition to Global Konet’s flat-panel ESA OTM (On-The-Move) Omega2 antenna allows for service activation within 10 minutes.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 on Tuesday, February 25 will launch 21 Starlink satellites, including 13 with Direct to Cell capabilities, to low-Earth orbit. This will be the first flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

Starship successfully lifted off at 4:37 p.m. CT from Starbase in Texas on January 16, 2025. The seventh flight test of Starship and Super Heavy flew with ambitious goals, aiming to successfully repeat the core capability of returning and catching a booster. While not every test objective was completed, the lessons learned will roll directly into future vehicles.

ESO's Very Large Telescope peered into atmosphere of an exoplanet for the first time. Data allowed the team to create a three-dimensional map of the atmosphere. Results showed powerful winds within the atmosphere. These winds carry elements like iron and titanium, which, in turn, create unique weather patterns throughout the atmosphere.
