The Falcon 9’s first stage returned to Earth about eight minutes after liftoff as planned, touching down on the SpaceX droneship “Just Read the Instructions” in the Atlantic Ocean.

China is planning to develop its next-generation BeiDou system. Three experimental satellites of this navigation system are scheduled for launch around 2027. Network deployment will begin by about 2029 and will be completed by 2035. The new technology is intended to be an improvement on China’s existing GPS satellites.

The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), in partnership with the U.S. Space Force Space Launch Delta 30, and SpaceX watched as the Falcon 9 launched the NROL-126 mission. There was no live broadcast of the liftoff and a live feed only became available shortly before the main engine cutoff during the flight. This was the first flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission.
