Frank Backes has been named the new CEO of Capella Space. Payam Banazadeh will continue as a Director on the board. Banazadeh founded the company in 2016 while at Stanford University. Backes joins Capella Space from Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, Inc.

Adel Al-Saleh has been CEO at T-Systems International GmbH since January 2018. Ruy Pinto, who served as SES’s Chief Technology Officer from 2019 to 2023, will continue to lead SES through January 2024. Milton Torres, who succeeded Pinto as CTO on an interim basis, will continue in that capacity.

Starlink 6-23 flew from Space Launch Complex (SLC) 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) Starlink 7-5 is to fly out of SLC-4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) in California. These three missions together would carry 65 Starlink v2 Mini satellites to low-Earth orbit. India is also conducting a test abort of the Gaganyaan crew-capable spacecraft.
