Isar Aerospace signs launch agreement with SEOPS for dedicated mission – SatNews

Isar Aerospace has signed a launch service agreement with SEOPS for a dedicated mission scheduled in 2028. Isar Aerospace’s launch vehicle ‘Spectrum’ will deploy multiple payloads into LEO from its dedicated launch complex at Andøya Space in Norway. This launch represents the first European launch under SEOPS’ LaunchLock Prime program.

Nine Spire satellites have journeyed to Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The satellites will be launched aboard SpaceX’s upcoming Falcon 9 Twilight mission. The mission includes the company’s Hyperspectral Microwave Sounder (HyMS) satellite demonstrator. HyMS is designed to capture detailed internal views of the Earth’s atmosphere.

Three of NASA’s Mars spacecraft had front row seats to view 3I/ATLAS, only the third interstellar object so far discovered in our solar system. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) snapped a close-up of the comet, while the MAVEN (Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN) orbiter captured ultraviolet images and the Perseverance rover caught a faint glimpse.
