Globalstar, Inc. Has signed an agreement with SpaceX for a Falcon 9 launch for the next set of satellites. Globalstar expects the launch will take place next year following the initial launch this year. These satellites have been authorized by the Federal Communications Commission to operate under Globalstar’s HIBLEO-4 filing for a renewed 15-year term.

Dr. Gurpartap “GP” Sandhoo is the new Deputy Director of SDA. Sandhoo replaces SDA’s first deputy director, Ryan Frigm, who helped stand up the organization in 2019. Sandhoo served as Vice President and Chief Architect at Quantum Space and as Director for Emerging Technologies at Northrop Grumman.

Virgin Atlantic is the first UK airline to announce plans to introduce Starlink in-flight connectivity. The airline will begin installing streaming-quality Wi-Fi on its Boeing 787s, Airbus A350s, and A330neos from Q3 2026. The Wi-Fi will be offered entirely free of charge for Flying Club members.
ULA set to ramp up Vulcan launches and national security missions with USSF-106

Vulcan rocket has received certification to fly National Security Space Launch (NSSL) missions. ULA has started processing for the USSF-106 mission, scheduled to launch in the third quarter of this year. USSF-106 will launch two national security satellites bound for geosynchronous orbit. Vulcan joins SpaceX’s Falcon family in launching NSSL payloads.
