Co-founder Charlie Ergen as its new CEO following the formation of a new business called EchoStar Capital. Ergen now assumes the operating responsibility for the pay-TV and wireless business units.

Falcon 9 launched 29 Starlink smallsats to low-Earth orbit on November 9th. This was the 28th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission. The first stage landed on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship, which is stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket was scheduled to launch on Nov. 9, but was scrubbed due to weather. New Glenn is among the largest rockets to ever fly, standing an astounding 98 m tall and seven meters wide. The rocket was initially set to launch in 2020, but after significant delays from engine and rocket development, New Glenn first launched on Jan. 16, 2025. New Glenn is named after John Glenn, the first American astronaut to orbit the Earth.
