Sateliot advances its constellation with 5 new satellites to be manufactured by Alén Space – SatNews

Sateliot has entrusted the manufacture of its next five satellites to the Spanish firm Alén Space. These satellites will become part of its LEO network, scheduled for launch in 2026. Sateliot already holds contracts worth approximately €270 million with over 400 clients across 50 countries.

The United State Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC) awarded a $2.8 billion contract to The Boeing Company to build and deliver the first two satellites. ESS replaces the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) capability currently provided by the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (EHF) system.

Orbex has delayed its UK rocket launch to 2026 due to site and funding issues. SaxaVord, the launch site in Scotland, isn’t ready, and more financial support is said to be needed to lift off. Back in January the UK government invested £20 million in Orbex as part of its Series D fundraising to build and launch a rocket from Scotland.
